Common questions
- Why buy property data one county at a time?
- Most investors, agents and service companies work a defined market. Paying by county means you subscribe to the ground you actually cover, and each county page shows its record count before you spend anything.
- What counts as a county here?
- We use the federal county list, keyed by 5-digit FIPS code: 3,143 counties and county equivalents across the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Equivalents include Louisiana parishes and Virginia's independent cities.
- How do I find my county?
- Type the county, a city or a ZIP code into the search bar, or open the state list and pick the county from it. Each county has its own page with its record count, its rank in the state and its price.
- What does $19 a month cover?
- Ongoing access to the complete file for one county: every property record in it, with each new monthly edition while you stay subscribed. The five-county bundle works the same way for $49 a month across any 5 counties.
- Can I look up one address before buying?
- Of course. Pop the street address and its city or ZIP into the search bar. The building facts are there for anyone to read, and once you're signed in with a free account you'll see that home's owner, valuation, loan and tax columns as well.
- Are there limits on how I use the data?
- A few sensible ones. Use your county file for business: mailers to local owners, acquisitions research, getting to know your market. Keep your outreach within the laws that cover it. And since a county file is not a consumer report, it can't feed any decision the Fair Credit Reporting Act covers, such as credit, insurance, housing or employment.
- How do I buy a county file?
- Open the county's page, from the search bar or the state list, and subscribe there: $19 a month for one county, or $49 a month for any 5. Checkout is handled by Stripe.
